Motivation

Alamar Biosciences built an analysis software solution to empower their customers with scalable proteomic analysis capabilities. Research teams working with instrument-generated datasets needed to analyze multiple sessions while keeping each user’s saved data and results appropriately isolated. They also needed dependable report exports and an operational foundation that could evolve with changing requirements.

The project

Analythium’s team developed a prototype for a multi-tenant Shiny web application. The architecture included secure sign-in through an existing identity system, an extensible database model, and authorization for user data. Integration with an upstream data system depended on an API being made available, while application-generated files and results were to be stored separately. Analythium also contributed to interactive analysis features and user interface design.

Our results

Analythium brought the expertise to deploy the analysis software on Microsoft Azure using ShinyProxy and Kubernetes, creating a scalable cloud platform. Alamar’s customers can now access the analysis solution with ease and scalability. Moreover, Analythium’s assistance in enhancing the user interface and streamlining workflows improved user satisfaction.
